"American". This is a term that is very common in our society. But what is an American? An American is more than just a person who lives in the United States. It means something significant and it is something that does not have a clean-cut definition. An American is an ideal, a value. An American is a value of pride, bravery, courage, wisdom, righteousness, charity, and spirit. When someone says "I am an American" it means all of these elements. I am an American, and I am proud to be an American.
